I made this graphic at Custom Sign Generator. (Seriously, I need to clean my house. My children are little tornadoes.)For me, this "thing" fell right in with the 71/2 habit for lifelong learning...PLAY! At this point in this blog project, I really looked forward to completing #9-- it sort of pushed me through some of the other "things" (just like the video at the end will be doing!). I can see how our students will sometimes need to PLAY! I am sure that there are ways to squeeze some learning opportunities into fun activities like this...maybe using a word of the day in a cartoon or sign. Just having the chance to be a little creative can be very refreshing!

I love the post it note about cleaning your house since mine needs some serious attention
I didn't think about doing word of the day...The "old" methods of rote learning for vocabulary words isn't really encouraged anymore and I was wondering how on earth you can get kids engaged in growing their vocabulary. Thanks for the great idea!
On another note- thanks for the comment, I had lost my password and couldn't respond t anyone. I'm glad some one else appreciates my off the wall and not always funny sense of humor!
